Carl Sandburg said "Life is like an onion; you peel it off one layer at a time and sometimes you weep".
Austin and Lexi left on Wednesday to go back home to their other family. The time we have with them is always so bittersweet. We love it and look forward to it and try to treasure every second - but are always painfully aware that our time together will come to an end.
We miss you oh so much - this visit was just another layer...a great time with tons of fun and laughter that has been peeled away but burned to our memories. Although this is our life it never gets any easier and we never stop missing you.
