For a while now I've been wanting to tackle all of our bathrooms - as most of them are absolutely horrible! Last week Chris and I - with lots of help from Rex, began what I'm sure will be a very long journey - starting with the kids/guest bath. The former owners thought it would be a great idea to make this room match the rest of the house with some 'high-end' custom paint (this was in the old owners words). It's awful!! They even painted the ceiling - although I will say it matches the 1980's gold accessories well. So far we've replaced the gold faucets on both sinks, ripped out the ginormous mirror and painted. We will be replacing the lighting, bath fixtures and maybe adding some additions to the cabinets - still a ton of work to do and I can't wait to see the finished product!
