Blizzard October 2009

It started snowing yesterday...and snowing, and snowing and snowing. We ended up with about 2 feet - the fist real snowfall of the season. Emma had such a great day playing with her friends - here's some pics...

Haunted House Fun

Every Halloween, my friends and I pick a Haunted House to visit and make it a fun night out. This year we met at BoneFish for dinner and drinks (liquid courage) and then headed out to the Field of Screams corn maze. Kristina and I went to this one last year and it scared the crap out of us - but everyone else wanted to give it a shot. It was pretty scary - but also pretty fun! It was the perfect night - not too cold, no rain or snow and lots of scary monsters lurking. It was great!

Pumpkin Patch

Last weekend we had a break in the cold weather so my best friend Kristina and I took Emma to the Pumpkin Patch at Anderson Farms. We go to Anderson Farms every year - but we've never actually made it out to the pumpkin patch. It was really fun and Emma had a blast!

Favorite Things Part 5 - The Last Pool Party

The weather is cool now, the leaves are coming down, pumpkins are on the porch and it actually snowed yesterday! I was going through some recent pictures and realized that these were taken about a month ago and it was the last official 'pool party' of the year. We had such a great time with our pool this summer, and even though it is a lot of work, we are so glad that we have it! Is it bad that I can't wait for next summer already?! GRIN!!

Last weekend the whole family went to Salina, KS. for Austin's graduation from "New Boy" and Promotion to Private. The weekend was packed full of events and was absolutely amazing! Austin is on the honor roll for the first time ever! Not only is he doing well - he is excelling! We spent the weekend with Austin's dad, Tracy Mom and his sisters Taylor, Brooke, Lexi, Emma & Talley, Nanna Jackie & Pappa Rex. It was so good to bring the two families together for Austin. We all had a really good time from the Pass and Review to the ice cold football game on Friday night to the frigid parade on Saturday! All in all, the most important thing was Austin and we were all there for him! We all love you so much Austin! We'll be seeing you!!
