Final 4!!

This year we started an awesome tradition of watching March Madness with great friends.  We were routing for JayHawks - who made it to the finals - but ultimately lost to KU in the final game...sad, but it was a great ride!  We decided to have a BasketBall themed dinner for the Final 4 games - and I can't belive how creative it got!  Thanks Guida's and Ambrose's - so much fun!

Lexi Spring Break

This year was our Spring Break with Lexi, and I was lucky enough to be able to take the entire week off.  Her sb was not the same time as Austin or Emma's - so Lex and I got to spend a lot of time together - which was great!  We did a lot of shopping, a ton of eating and heart to heart, mom and daughter talking.  I will cherish this week for ever!  Thanks for spending it with us Lexi!!  We miss ya!

On Saturday we had the chance to make a quick visit to the Butterfly Pavillion with Shannon, Callie and Blake.  Emma was not diggin the butterflies but enjoyed the rest of the trip. 





Lady Antebellum

We got a chance to get last minute tickets to see Lady Antebellum last week with Thompson Square and Darius Rucker!! My friend Wendy was able to get her hands on some "VIP" tickets - which up until we all got to the Pepsi Center - we had no idea what that would mean - but turns out it meant we got kick ass seats!  The show was sooo good and I'm so grateful to Wendy for including us!  Of course I forgot my good camera and had to rely on my iPhone which sucks in that environment - but here's some pics I was able to get!

HAPPY 7TH BIRTHDAY EMMA!!

On February 11th, my beautiful daughter Emma turned 7!  I can't believe how fast time flies by!  It seems like just yesterday that Chris and I were going to the hospital excited to welcome our baby girl into the world.  Now she is full of opinions, energy, smiles, laughter and such kindness!  We love you so very much and hope you had a wonderful day!

A few weeks ago we spent a few hours at the Apex with the Guidas.  It had been snowing and the kids hadn't had much chance to get out and play - so Tami and I thought it would be fun to take them swimming.  As always they had a blast!

Toothless Emma

Emma has been on a roll since summer - loosing tooth after tooth. The toothfairy is about broke! And if she looses one more I'm not sure how she'll eat anything but ice cream =0)

The backyard is finally starting to come together! All the concrete is in and stamped!  Next is the tiles followed by the new plaster and massive clean up.  I'm so excited...it's really starting to look good - can't wait for it all to be finished and summer to be here!

Fun Night Out

A few weeks ago I got to meet up with my good friends Nickol and Erin!  I love these girls to death and was very happy we were able to catch up.  It's always fun when the three of us are together!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY CHRIS!! (Belated Post)

Last month my sweetie celebrated his 35th(!!!) birthday.  His friends gathered at BW3's in celebration - it was a great night - the only thing missing was the birthday boy!  Poor Chris got held up at work and didn't arrive until most were getting ready to call it a night.  The important thing is that he made it safe and sound and got to spend some time catching up with friends.  It ended up being a great night!

Momentum

The saying 'time flies' is so true!  This week is the 10th anniversary of my MS diagnosis.  I can't believe it's been 10 years already!  I try so hard to not let having MS define me or run my life - but it's not always easy to do.  Looking back I truly do feel so great in the fact that I have been so lucky and so blessed.  Getting this diagnosis has changed my life and how I look at life.  Every day is a gift and should be cherished.  I've learned that I have taken so many things for granted and that no matter the things I used to believe I 'endured' - all of those things have made me a stronger person - a good person - the person I am today.  I only hope that I continue to learn from the life I'm living and can continue to grow.

Here's to another 10 years of progress and a beautiful life!

Backyard

A few weeks ago, we started a much needed renovation project in our back yard.  We are replacing all the pool decking, the tile, plaster and cover in the pool and adding an additional patio deck....YIKES!  Here's what it looks like so far.  I'm having a hard time with the big picture and imaging what it will look like when it's done - so here's to faith!

A few years ago my good friend Tami gave me two coats for Emma and told me that they were hers when she was a little girl.  She's been saving them for her own daughter - but thought Emma could take advantage of them now.  They are such gorgeous coats and I feel privlidged that Tami would share something so special with my daughter.  She looks beautiful!

We decided to ring in the New Year by doing some small home improvements - changing the color of our bedroom - FINALLY! Emma really wanted to help...and this is why you should never paint in your bare feet!
