Stay Strong!
So last week I started a Biggest Loser competition at work. I only have 5 or 6 pounds to loose, but we have some people in our office that aren't in the greatest of shape - either over weight, high blood pressure, heart attack, etc...so I thought this might be a good idea. My goal is 2 fold - I do want to loose some weight and tone up, but I also want to get in better shape. My doctor keeps telling me that the best thing I can do right now for my MS is to keep my body strong and healthy. I'm not good at going to the gym - never stick with it - hate it! And can't work out at home - last thing I want to do at night after a long day of work. So a friend of mine told me about a class he takes at LA Boxing. Kickboxing and regular Boxing classes - I was totally intimidated but I know that if I don't do something I'll never get off the couch! Today was my first class - tried Boxing - I think I'm going to die! I haven't worked out in over a year - I don't know what I was thinking that I could just jump right into this class - HA! But you know what? I made it through the entire hour! I'm super sore right now, and sure it's nothing compared to the pain I will suffer tomorrow - but I feel great! I kind of can't wait to go again - grin!
