On Sunday Emma and I got to spend another Mommy and me day together - and Em's pick for our activity was to visit the Butterfly Pavilion. It was a little crowded but we had a great time! We got to see everything from the giant cockroaches to all the beautiful new butterflies that were just released after 'hatching' from their cocoons. I even got to hold the resident superstar - Rosie the tarantula. I gotta tell you, I hate spiders - but I enjoy being able to hold Rosie when we visit. Even though there are like 10 Rosie's, she has been nothing but gentle and amazing. I think the most amazing thing to me is the fact for how big tarantula's are - they weigh almost nothing. It literally feels like q-tips walking across your hands. It's pretty cool. Unfortunately I didn't get a pic this time of Rosie - maybe next time. Check out some of the other pics we did get - there is even one of a butterfly on my head. It was the coolest thing - I ended up having 2 on my head and 1 on my arm - they stayed there for about 10 mins - they say that's good luck!
