It's been a while since I last updated - things have been really crazy over the last few weeks. Long story very short - I had another relapse 2 weeks ago - the eyes have it again - HA! I followed typical protocol and went to the doc's. I got to see the head of the MS Center this time and along with a ton of information - got orders to do another round of steroids. Anyone that knows me knows I absolutely hate being on these drugs - but it is something that I know I have to suck up and do. I finished the last treatment a week ago from this past Saturday. I've pretty much felt like total crap until just a few days ago. Now I am happy to say that I am feeling better - the steroids are working their way out of my system and seemed to have put my symptoms at bay - for now.
After several long conversations with my Dr. and at his recommendation - Chris and I have decided that it's time for me to try a new treatment. The new drug has only been on the market for a couple of years and has lots of pros and cons - just like anything else. We have carefully weighed everything and feel the pros far outweigh the cons...so in just a few weeks we'll start. I'm nervous but hopeful and trying to be as positive as I can. I want to thank all my friends who listened and consoled and helped put things into perspective - I love you all so much! Here's to hope!
