Favorite Things - Part 4

Last night Emma desperately wanted to take a bath with her new swimming baby. Neither of us was feeling well yesterday so we thought this would be a great way to end both of our days. While Emma was in her room picking out PJ's, I decided to throw in an extra surprise and add bubbles to her bath. Emma LOVES bubble baths and they are reserved as a special treat. I was in my closet putting some stuff away when I heard her gasp and then the pitter patter of little feet running toward me. I looked up just in time to catch her as she was jumping towards me, arms open wide. She hugged me tightly and kissed me and said "You're the best mom EVER"!!! She squealed in delight and ran off to take her bubble bath. Even now - 17 hours later - I'm tearing up just thinking about it and the look on her face. It's always the little things that matter so much.
